Softball Rallies for 13-6 Win Over Commerce

Jackson County rallied from a six-run deficit to defeat Commerce 13-6 Wednesday night inside Panther Park, remaining undefeated on the season. The Panthers were propelled by a 10-run bottom of the fifth inning before adding three more in the sixth for insurance to improve to 3-0 on the year. 

R Wilson finished the night 3-f0r-4 at the plate for the Panthers, while PJ Walker drove in a team-best three runs on the night. Emery Schiffmann, Ryleigh O'Brien, Alyssa Peurifoy and Lauren Glander each drove in two runs on the night. Reese Wilson, Schiffman, Miabella Lee, Peurifoy and Glander also each scored a pair of runs in the win. 

The Lady Panthers' fifth inning started with back-to-back hits, followed by a walk and a sacrifice fly. JCHS then tallied four consecutive hits to score three more runs. Then with two outs in the inning, JCHS tallied five more runs thanks to three more hits, including a double by Walker. 

Jackson County hosts Dacula tonight, Aug. 14.
