Volleyball Wins Silver Bracket at Rally Cup

Jackson County's volleyball team claimed the silver bracket championship of the Rally Cup Saturday, playing five matches in one day. JCHS (10-4) started the tournament with a 2-0 win over West Forsyth (27-25, 25-12), before falling in two sets to Blessed Trinity and three sets to McIntosh. The Lady Panthers rebounded with a 2-1 win over Etowah (25-22, 22-25, 15-12) and Central Carrollton (15-25, 25-22, 15-13).
​Holly Ann Keefer had 12 aces on the day, 37 kills (11 against McIntosh), 57 assists and 42 digs. Ava Lesniak led the way with 46 total digs, including a team-high 18 against Central Carrollton. Siena Berthold had 31 kills, Sophis Parker had 32 kills, Avery Hughes had 25 assists, Willa Brunen finished with eight blocks and nine kills, and Gia Blanco finished with eight blocks and 10 kills.
