Volleyball To Play for Region 8 Title Thursday

Jackson County defeated Loganville 25-20, 25-23 to earn a spot in the Region 8-AAAAA championship match, slated for Thursday at 6 p.m. The Panthers, who lost to Loganville back on Sept. 30 in straight sets, improved to 30-7 overall on the season and secured at least a home playoff match in the state playoffs.
The region championship will be a best 3 out of 5 match and will be held inside Panther Pavilion on Thursday. The Panthers very well could face Loganville again. Loganville will face Habersham Central earlier Thursday to determine who advances to face JCHS in the championship.
Sophia Parker led the way with nine kills Tuesday night, while Siena Berthold finished with eight. Holly Ann Keefer has five kills, 12 assists, two aces and five digs, while Ava Lesniak finished with five digs and one ace.
