Volleyball Opens Season With Two Wins
The Jackson County High School volleyball team opened the season with a pair of straight set victories over Lumpkin County and Gainesville on Tuesday Night. The Lady Panthers (2-0) defeated Lumpkin County 25-13, 25-8 and former region foe Gainesville 25-11 and 25-14.
Paisley Gillespie led the team with 16 kills to go along with 10 digs, while Ava Lesniak set the pace with a team-best 11 digs. Siena Berthold had 10 kills, while Hannah Stovall had six and Sophia Parker with four. Berthold also had nine digs, while Allyson Page had eight to go along with a team-high seven aces and 33 assists.
The Lady Panthers host Cedar Shoals and Parkview on Thursday night at Panther Pavillion.
