The Jackson County volleyball team earned a pair of non-region victories Thursday night during senior night. The Lady Panthers defeated BASA 25-12, 25-15 and East Jackson 25-17, 25-20. Jackson County is now 10-3 on the season.
Paisley Gillespie led the way on the night with a team-best 20 kills and 17 digs between the two games, while Siena Berthold led with five aces. Berthold also finished with 19 kills and seven digs. Ava Lesniak finished with 11 digs and nine assists, while Allyson Page finished with a team-high 11 assists.
Jackson County plays Savannah Country Day, Mount Paran Christian and Gordon Lee Saturday before visiting Oconee County on Tuesday, Aug. 27. Jackson County hosts Lumpkin County on Thursday, Aug. 29.
