The Jackson County swim teams swept the Cherokee Bluff Brave Bear Invitational at Frances Meadows Aquatic Center Saturday. The boys team earned 331 points to win by 113 points over second-place Loganville, while the girls totaled 258 points to earn the first-place win.
In the win, Daniel Atkins qualified for the Class AAAAA state meet in the 200-meter Individual Medley. The boys 200 Freestyle Relay bproke the school record in the meet. The relay team, which has already qualified for state, consists of Ryland Sheppard, Zachary Davison, Daniel Atkins and Gabe Gusek.
