Swim Takes First in Jingle Jam; Girls Relay Sets New Mark

The Jackson County High School swim teams took a clean sweep in the Jingle Jam at the Ruby Fulbright Aquatic Center on Friday. 

The girls finished with 545 points, topping second-place Habersham Central, third-place Oconee County and fourth-place Clarke Central. The boys tallied 482 points to beat Clarke Central, followed by Habersham Central and Oconee County. 

The girls relay of Gabby Lee, Taylor Simmons, Jayci Morris and Blakely Hawk broke a five-year standing school-record in the 200-meter freestyle relay with a time of 1:49.76. The team also set a new record in the 400-meter relay with a time of 4:01.57.
