Softball Blanks Hart Co., 8-0

Ryleigh O'Brien connected on three hits to lead the Jackson County softball team past Hart County 8-0 on Thursday night. O'Brien's three hits paced the Panthers, who finished with 11 total hits on the night, while limiting Hart County to just three hits. 

Jackson County (2-0, 0-0) scored three runs in the first and second innings, respectively, and added two more in the third. The game was called due to the run-rule after the fifth inning. 

Emery Schiffmann started the game in the circle, allowing one hit and striking out one batter. J Norris pitched two innings, allowing two hits and striking out two. 

O'Brien finished with three runs batted in and two runs scored, while Schiffmann led the way with a team-best three runs scored. Alyssa Peurifoy finished 2 for 3 at the plate and Reese Wilson was 2 for 4. 

Jackson County visits North Hall on Monday and hosts Commerce on Wednesday and Dacula on Thursday inside Panther Park.
