Softball Blanks Gainesville 18-0 On Senior Night
HOSCHTON — Jackson County's softball team posted a 18-0 shutout win over Gainesville on Senior Night last Thursday. The Lady Panthers used 13 hits and took advantage of five Gainesville errors in the victory.
JCHS (14-8) took a 4-0 lead in the first inning and scored 14 runs in the second inning.
Kylen Hewell was 3-for-3 with three runs scored and two runs batted in. Audrianna Lindquist was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and three RBIs. Maegan Brownlee was 3-for-3 with three runs scored, while Siearra Townley drove in four runs in the win. Brooklyn Bruce and Ryleigh O'Brien also drove in a run each.
Jackson County hosted Lanier in a doubleheader on Tuesday, Oct. 10, and will close out the regular season on Thursday, Oct. 12, with a single game at Shiloh High School.
