Eli Avrett finished fifth overall in the boys Navy 5K division of the North Georgia Championships at Lamar Murphy Saturday in Jefferson, leading the Panthers to a sixth-place finish. The Lady Panthers, led by Loralei Eager's 17th overall finish, finished 8th as a team.
Avrett finished with a time of 16:24.96, while teammate Madux Wright finished 25th with a time of 17:14.26. Bryce Leitsch finished 46th, Adam Thomas 51st and Connor Guilbault 65th. On the girls' side, Eager paced the Panthers with a time of 21.35.26, while Julia Crowthers, who finished 33rd, set a mark of 23:04.22. Eve Johnson finished 43rd, Eliza Linn 45th and Riley Benton 46th.
