Jackson County's cross country teams competed Saturday in the War Path Invitational in Canton, with five total runners finishing inside the top 100 of all runners.
Eli Avrett finished ninth overall in the boys' event, while Gavin Howland finished 17th and Byrce Leitsch 41st, out of the 186 boys runners in competition. On the girls' side, Loralei Eager finished 41st and Ellie Wilkerson 74th, out of the 174 girls runners in competition.
