Adalyn Mitchell threw a complete game no-hitter in the Jackson County Panthers' 9-0 win over region opponent Alcovy on Tuesday night. Mitchell recorded a season-high 15 strikeouts in the win, which improved Jackson County to 9-3 overall and 4-1 in Region 8-AAAAA.
Offensively, Emery Schiffmann and Miabella Lee each legged out triples in the win, with Lee and P.J. Walker also recording doubles in the win. Walker finished a perfect 3 for 3 at the plate with three runs batted in, while Lee was 2 for 4 with four RBIs. Schiffmann, Reese Wilson and Alyssa Peurifoy all had multiple hits in the win.
Jackson County visits Habersham Central on Thursday night.
