McCutcheon, Gillespie Tabbed All-State
Jackson County senior Sydney McCutcheon and junior Paisley Gillespie earned All-State honors in volleyball, as announced by the Georgia Volleyball Coaches Association.
A four-year captain and starter for the Panthers, McCutcheon finished her senior season with a 90.1 serve percentage and led the team with 798 assists. She is now the all-time career assists leader at Jackson County High School with 2,936. McCutcheon also added 81 aces, 109 kills and 250 digs this season.
Gillespie finished her junior season with a 90 serve percentage and 368 kills. She is on pace to become the first player in JCHS history to eclipse 1000 career kills. Gillespie also added 297 digs and 72 aces to her resume this season.
The Panthers finished second in Region 8-AAAAAA this season and advanced to the second round of the state playoffs.
