The Jackson County High School literacy team finished Region 8-AAAAA runner-up Saturday and had multiple students finish in first place in their respective events.
Will Branch finished in first place in Humorous Interpretation, while Katie Lott and Amberly Willingham finished first in Duo Interpretation. Brayden Sabin finished first place in Boys Solo, while Katie Lott, Amberly Willingham and Bibianna Leon finished first in Trio. Ethan Day, Charlie Hansen, Sabin and Payson Heap finished first in Quartet.
Alyson Esway finished second in Dramatic Interpretation, while Josie Massey finished second in Girls Solo.
