Lady Panthers Improve to 16-7, 9-1 in Region

The Jackson County girls basketball team won its second straight Region 8-AAAAA contest in back-to-back nights, defeating Clarke Central 40-36 Wednesday night. The game was rescheduled from last week, following the snow and ice events that impacted the area.

Kelsey Clack finished with a team-best nine points, while Lydia Wolfe finished with eight points and a team-high 13 rebounds. Madelyn Drucker finished with six points, four steals and three rebounds and Lillie Vick with six points and eight rebounds.

Jackson County has a pair of region contests remaining to close out the regular season. The Lady Panthers host Alcovy on Friday and Loganville on Feb. 7.
