The Jackson County Lady Panthers beat Apalachee in the first game of the region tournament, 58-51, on Monday night. The Lady Panthers were led by Maddie Harkins who had 18 points and six rebounds. Senior Chandler Blake poured in 14 points with six rebounds, while Anna Maxey contributed nine points.
The Lady Panthers take on Habersham Central Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 4 p.m. with a berth in the Class AAAAAA state playoffs on the line.
