The Jackson County girls tennis team defeated Clarke Central, 4-1, Tuesday night. The Lady Panthers are now 10-3 overall and 5-1 in Region 8-AAAAA heading into next week's region tournament.
No. 1 and 2 singles Skylar Xiong and QuyLan Johnson each earned 6-0, 6-0 victories Tuesday, while No. 3 singles MaiXuan Johnson earned a 6-0, 6-1 win. In doubles play, No. 1 combination of Lila Threadgill and Mollie Lynn earned a 6-1, 7-6 win.
