Girls Track Finishes Third at Chee Relays
The Jackson County girls track and field team finished in third place at the Chee Relays on Thursday. The Lady Panthers racked up 109 points to finish behind host Apalachee and North Oconee.
Jackson County sophomore Sole Bailey finished in first place in the girls' 100-meter dash with a time of 12.55. Teammate and fellow sophomore Jalyn Robinson finished third in the girls' 100-meter with a time of 12.99.
The Jackson County girls' 4x100-meter relay team finished in first place with a time of 49.73, edging North Oconee in the event. The JCHS girls' Distance Medley Relay team also finished in first place, winning by over half a second over host Apalachee. The Lady Panthers finished with a time of 13:55.56.
Senior Audrianna Lindquist finished in first place in the girls' Discuss, with a distance of 91 feet, 4 inches. In the Long Jump, senior Oumy Gaye finished in second place with a distance of 16 feet, 10.50 inches.
