The Jackson County girls tennis team earned a 4-1 win over North Forsyth on Thursday night to remain as the only unbeaten team in Region 8-AAAAAA. Line one doubles the scoring for Jackson County, which fell down in an early 1-0 hole, when Brooklyn Clerici and Lily Potter won 6-, 6-3. At two singles, QuyLan Johnson played the match of the night with a 6-2, 2-6, 7-6 win to give the Lady Panthers a 2-1 advantage. At line three singles, Mai Xuan Johnson handled her opponent 6-1, 6-2, ensuring the victory. Finally, Rylee Kohan and Armani Ly finished with a victory at line two doubles.
The boys lost a heartbreaker 3-2 to North Forsyth. Collier Uesseler and Avery Gordon won line one doubles. At the two doubles match, Harrison Chan and Luke Hayes earned a win.
