The Jackson County girls tennis team swept Habersham Central Tuesday night to begin their region schedule.
Beginning at line one singles, Skylar Xiong breezed through her opponent 6-0, 6-0. Shortly after she finished, the line one doubles team of Brooklyn Clerici and Lily Potter blasted through their opponents 6-0, 6-1. Following their win, QuyLan Johnson finished her match with a 6-0, 6-2 victory, rewarding the Lady Panthers with the overall team victory. Next, MaiXuan Johnson blanked her opponent 6-0, 6-0. Finally, Marin Williams, making her varsity debut, teamed with Armani Ly at two doubles and won 6-1, 6-3 to finish the sweep.
The Jackson County girls improved to 5-1 (1-0 Region 8-AAAAAA) and look to continue their success against Shiloh on Thursday.
