Caitlan Collins scored four goals and the Jackson County girls soccer team blew past region foe Winder-Barrow 9-1 on Friday night to kickstart Region 8-AAAAA play. Finley Lancaster scored a pair of goals, while Maddie Vanchiasong, Isabella Parpart Shackelford and Scarlet Maxey each scored a goal.
Loralai Eager led the team with two assists, while Vanchiasong and Shackelford each contributed with an assist of their own.
Jackson County (4-1, 1-0) hosts Oconee County (3-2) in non-region action Tuesday and visits Clarke Central in region play Friday night.
