The Jackson County girls soccer team will host Newnan on Thursday at 6 p.m. in the first round of the Class AAAAAA state playoffs. The Lady Panthers ride into the playoffs following a 3-0 win over Apalachee on Friday night, closing out the regular season with a 12-5-1 record and a 9-3 mark in region play. Isabella Parpart Shackleford and Abby Johnson scored the goals for the Panthers on Friday night. Jackson County also earned a goal following an own goal from Apalachee. Taylor Burel and Katie Nalder each contributed with the assists.
