The Jackson County girls soccer team earned a pivotal region victory Tuesday night, with a 4-3 shootout victory over Habersham Central. The shootout came on the heels of a scoreless, defensive battle throughout regulation.
In the shootout, Delaney Weather, Finley Lancaster and Abby Johnson each scored. Loralai Eager drilled the game-winner. The win improved Jackson County's record to 5-3-1 and 3-1 in Region 8-AAAAAA. Jackson County visits Apalachee on Friday, March 1, and hosts Lanier on March 8.
