Aliyah Haney and Maddie Vanchiasong each scored a goal and Siena Berthold pitched a shutout in the goal as the Jackson County girls soccer team earned a key 2-0 win over Region 8-AAAAA foe Clarke Central Friday night.
The Lady Panthers are now 5-2 overall and 2-0 in region play heading into a multi-week stretch of non-region play. JCHS plays at Paideia Tuesday night, home against Hillgrove Thursday night and hosts Creekview on Saturday. Jackson County returns to region play on March 21 at Apalachee.
