​Winder-Barrow's last-second attempt missed and the Jackson County girls basketball team remained undefeated in Region 8-AAAAA play Friday night, escaping with a 44-43 win over the Lady Bulldoggs.
Jackson County is now 11-6 overall and 4-0 in region play with a road contest at Alcovy on Tuesday night.
Madelyn Drucker and Lydia Wolfe led the way for the Lady Panthers Friday night, scoring 14 points each.
