Girls Basketball Opens Region Play With 50-15 Win
The Jackson County girls basketball team opened region play Tuesday night with a dismantling 50-15 win over Apalachee. The Lady Panthers are now 6-3 under first year head coach Mackenzie Sandy, having won four straight games.
Lillie Vick posted a double-double Tuesday night, finishing with a game-high 15 points and 10 rebounds. Macey McCutcheon finished with 13 points and four steals in the win, a game that featured the Lady Panthers ahead 21-0 at the end of the first quarter.
Jackson County visits Clarke Central Friday night in another Region 8-AAAAA matchup.
