Football Announces 2024 Schedule

Football Announces 2024 Schedule

Jackson County High School announced its 2024 football schedule on New Year’s Day. The four non-region games on the schedule are highlighted by a showdown with in-county rival Jefferson on Aug. 23 at Jackson County High School. The Panthers and Dragons last met in 2019 when the two schools competed in Region 8-AAA. The two teams will meet in 2025 when the Panthers visit Jefferson.

Jackson County will compete in Region 8-AAAAA for the 2024 and 2025 seasons following the Georgia High School Association’s reclassification process in the fall and will be in the second season under head coach Korey Mobbs.

JCHS opens the regular season Aug. 16 at Flowery Branch. Following the meeting with Jefferson, the Panthers host Dacula on Aug. 30 and visit Madison County on Sept. 13 to conclude region play. The Panthers open Region 8 play with a pair of home games against Clarke Central on Sept. 20 and Alcovy on Sept. 27.

The Panthers’ first road region game comes against Apalachee on Oct. 4. Following a bye week for fall break, the Panthers host their final regular season home game on Oct. 18, when the Winder-Barrow Bulldogs visit Panther Stadium. A pair of road contests at Loganville, on Oct. 25, and at Habersham Central, on Nov. 1, close out the regular season schedule.
