Flag Football Well-Represented In All-Area
Jackson County girls flag football cleaned up postseason awards for All-Area on Friday, with six Lady Panthers earning First Team honors, three Second Team and Coach Julie McCutcheon being named Coach of the Year.
Aubree Dobbs was named First-Team quarterback, throwing for 2,622 yards with 40 touchdowns this season. Sole Bailey was named First Team wide receiver and cornerback, hauling in 51 catches for 706 yards with 17 touchdowns and eight interceptions on defense.
Aliyah Haney was named First Team wide receiver and linebacker, finishing the season with a team-high 1,239 yards receiving, 21 touchdowns and six defensive interceptions. Macey McCutcheon finished First Team wide receiver with 62 catches for 555 yards with three touchdowns, while Kynsleigh Hewell was First-Team safety with a team-high 10 interceptions.
Anslee Davis was First Team Kicker while Giovannie Diogo and Katie Nalder were named Second Team. Natalie Scott was named Scholar Athlete.
