Flag Football Qualifies For State

Flag Football Qualifies For State

In just the program's second year, the Jackson County High School girls flag football team has qualified for the GHSA Division II state playoffs. The Lady Panthers clinched the playoffs with a 27-0 win over Heritage High School in the Sub Area Tournament. They followed that win up with a 19-14 win over host Allatoona to earn a spot in the Sub-Area Tournament championship on Thursday night against Loganville.

Aubree Dobbs threw six touchdown passes between the two wins Tuesday night. Aliyah Haney hauled in four of the six, while Sole Bailey hauled in the other two.

Bailey also had a rushing touchdown in the win over Heritage. Kynsleigh Hewell finished the night with one interception on the defensive side of the ball.
