The Jackson County girls cross country team finished fourth in the North Oconee Invitational Saturday morning, besting 16 other teams in competition.
Erin O'Brien finished ninth out of 177 overall with a time of 19:57.17. Jordan Starling (21:05.14), Kendall Goetzman (21:08.11), Loralai Eager (21.30:94) and Ingrid Cassillas (22:43.95) rounded out the top five for the JCHS girls.
On the boys side, the Panthers finished 11th out of 22 teams with Elijay Avrett placing 13th out of 201 individual competitors. Avrett finished with a time of 17:01.47.
