Collins Named Forward of the Year, Five Others Earn All-Region Honors

Jackson County High School soccer players were honored in the announcement of the All-Region 8-AAAAAA teams on Friday. Sophomore Caitlan Collins was named the girls’ region Forward of the Year. She was joined on the All-Region First Team by teammates Ava , a senior, and Abby Johnson, a sophomore.
Freshman Loralai Eager, senior Nathan Ngo and junior Carson Odom were each named to the Second Team in the respective votes.
The Jackson County girls soccer team finished second in the region, earning a home playoff game. The Lady Panthers defeated Newnan 2-0 in the first round matchup on Thursday and will compete in the Sweet 16 round this upcoming week. The boys finished fifth in the region.
