Bradley Named Region 8 Player of the Year

Bradley Named Region 8 Player of the Year

Jackson County High School's Sam Bradley was named the Region 8-AAAAAA Baseball Player of the Year on Thursday, following a vote of the region's head coaches. Bradley, a senior infielder for the Panthers, hit .509 with an on-base percentage of .602 during region play. He also hit eight home runs, which tied the school single-season record, to go along with 18 RBIs and nine doubles. 

Colin Price, a junior outfielder, was named First-Team All-Region, while senior Brice Branton and junior Jack Teague were named Second Team. Price finished region play with a .384 average with 11 RBIs and five doubles. Branton finished with a .340 average with 10 RBIs and one triple, while Teague finished with a 3.10 earned run average.
