Jackson County’s boys wrestling team finished in first place at the Panther Scramble on Saturday.
Jackson County finished with 11 wrestlers inside the top four of the tournament, with six wrestlers placing first in their respective weight classes. Austin Jurovschi (106 pounds), Donovan Spry (113 pounds), Domynic Thompson (126 pounds), Dylan Jurovschi (132 pounds), Daylan Maxwell (157 pounds) and Xavier Cepican (165 pounds) all were first place finishers.
The Panthers had a trio of wrestlers finish in third place — Toby Jurovschi (138 pounds), Andrew Phillips (157 pounds) and Josie Mendoza (225 pounds). Beau Hoffman (144 pounds) finished in fourth place. David Warr (150 pounds) and Alonzo Ortiz (285 pounds) each finished in second.
