Boys Soccer Shuts Down Apalachee, 5-0

Jackson County's boys soccer team continued one of the best seasons in school-history Friday night, shutting down Apalachee in a 5-0 win. The Panthers are now 9-3 overall and 2-1 in Region 8-AAAAA competition heading into Tuesday's non-region game at Seckinger. The Panthers host Loganville in Region 8 play Friday night.

Aiden Burke was the mainstay in Friday night's win, earning three assists and scoring a goal of his own. Burke assisted Justin Hanfman on the Panthers' first goal before making the score 2-0 with a goal of his own, assisted by Ali Mizdrak. Burke then assisted senior Carson Odom with a goal before finding Andrew Ipina to make the score 4-0. Chase O'Neal concluded the scoring with an unassisted goal. 

Gage Simmons earned the shutout in the goal with four saves.
