The Jackson County boys soccer team secured the first-ever state playoff win Wednesday night with a 2-1 win over Lee County in the first round of Class AAAAA state playoffs. The Panthers will either host Evans or visit Rome in the Sweet 16 round.
Senior Aiden Burke scored both goals in the playoff win, while Chase O'Neal had one assist. Gage Simmons had two saves in the goal.
