The Jackson County boys soccer team earned a pair of victories at the Jekyll Island Tournament of Champions, downing Hillgrove and Creekview 3-2.
The Panthers are now 7-3 overall and 1-1 in Region 8-AAAAA and are now ranked inside the Top 20 of Class AAAAA schools. Yenson Arriola, Aden Burke and Luis Ventura each scored goals in the win over Hillgrove, while Gage Simmons recorded eight saves in the win.
Carson Odom scored two goals and Justin Hanfman recorded another in the Saturday win over Creekview. Ali Mizdrak recorded two assists and Joe Duska finished with four saves.
Jackson County hosts Oglethorpe in non-region action Tuesday and visits Apalachee in region play Friday night.
