The Jackson County boys soccer team finished the 2024 season with a 2-0 victory over region foe Apalachee on Friday night. The Panthers finished the season with a 7-11 record. Aiden Burke and Nicolas Trigo-Rios scored the two goals for the Panthers, while Ali Mizdrak and Gael Castrejon finished with the assists. Bryn Pearson recorded the shutout on the night, recording four saves. The Panthers graduate seven seniors from this year's team: Nathan Ngo, Bryn Pearson, Gael Castrejon, Nicolas Trigo-Rios, Dylan Ware, Heber Garcia-Sanchez, and David Tra'. Jackson County will compete in Region 8-AAAAA next year, with the likes of Apalachee, Alcovy, Clarke Central, Habersham, Loganville and Winder-Barrow.
