Aiden Burke scored five goals and Aaron Ross and Joe Duska shared a clean sheet as the Jackson County boys soccer team blanked Winder-Barrow 10-0 Friday night to open Region 8-AAAAA competition.
The Panthers are now 5-1 overall and 1-0 in region play following the dominating win in Winder, and host Lanier in non-region play Tuesday night before a home region game against Clarke Central on Friday.
Yenson Arriolla, Skyler Parnell, Logan Rider, Marco Newton and Carter Ascencio Vindas each scored one goal in the win Friday, while Mauricio Felice Rivas led the way with two assists. Parnell, Juan Carmona, Lucas Neikirk, Nathan Gonzalez and Burke each had one assist in the win.
