Boys Golf Breaks 9-Hole Team Record; Holley Wins For Girls

The Jackson County boys golf team shot a 9-hole team school-record during Thursday's Jackson County Championships at Double Oaks in Commerce. The Panthers shot a team score of 150, finishing second in the county. 

Seniors Jake Simmons and John Cole each shot a 37, followed by Samuel Maxey's and Bo Bowdoin's 38. Ashton Bryant fired a 40, while Max Pepper shot a 42.

Senior Anna Holley carded a tournament-best 41 in last week's Jackson County Girls Golf Championship, leading Jackson County to a team-score of 87, just three back from the tournament winner. Mackenzie Oliver shot a 46 for the Lady Panthers, while Bailey King fired a 48.
