The Jackson County boys golf team bested Monroe Area and Jefferson Wednesday afternoon at Traditions Golf Club. The Panthers edged Monroe Area by one stroke, 178-179, but blew past crosstown rival Jefferson by 17 strokes.
Sophomore Samuel Maxey led the Panthers with a 41, securing the low-round of the day amongst all golfers. Junior Chase Webb fired off a 43, while freshman Bo Bowdoin and seniors Thomas Howard and Jake Simmons finished in a tie for seventh with a 47.
