Boys Basketball Beats East Jackson, 75-61
RJ Knapp scored 32 points to lead the Jackson County boys basketball team to a 75-61 victory over East Jackson on Tuesday night. After being held to just one basket in the game's first quarter, Knapp went on a tear for the Panthers, accounting for 30 of the team's final 61 points.
The Panthers were able to erase a 19-14 deficit at the end of the first quarter. The Panthers outscored East Jackson 23-16 in the third quarter and were able to maintain the lead throughout the fourth quarter.
EJ Heath finished the game with 12 points for the Panthers, who earned their second win of the season. Three Eagles scored in double figures, led by Birdy Cunningham's team-high 14 points.
