The Jackson County varsity basketball teams swept East Jackson in non-region action on Thursday night in Commerce. The Lady Panthers won their sixth straight game with a 68-24 win, which was followed up with the Panthers' 82-46 win.
The Lady Panthers were led by Maddie Harkins and Ka'Mya Washington, both of whom had 12 points in the win. Madelyn Drucker finished with 11 points and Kelsey Clack with nine points. Drucker also led the team in rebounds with eight and recorded a five assists.
On the boys side, R.J. Knapp led the way with 20 points and seven steals and five assists, while Tyler Rasinski had 16 points. Samuel Maxey finished with 10 points.
Both Jackson County teams will host the Jaxco Holiday Hoopfest from Dec. 27 to Dec. 30.
