The Jackson County varsity basketball teams swept Clarke Central Tuesday night in Athens. The Lady Panthers earned a dominating 59-26 win, while the boys won 61-51.
The Panthers (9-10, 4-2 Region 8-AAAAA) have now won eight of their past 10 games heading into a home game against Habersham Central on Friday night.
Tyler Rasinski led the Panthers Tuesday with 15 points, while Myles Richardson had 13 points, six rebounds and five assists. RJ Knapp had 11 points, seven assists and six rebounds, while Landon Jones had 11 points in the win.
On the girls side, the Lady Panthers sit with a 13-6 overall record and 4-2 record in region play. Lillie Vick finished with 12 points and a team-high 15 rebounds, while Maddie Harkins had 12 points, Madelyn Drucker with 11, Ka'Mya Washington with nine, Jalyn Chani with eight and Kelsey Clack with five points.
