The Jackson County baseball team earned a much-needed win Wednesday night, defeating region leader and sixth-ranked Habersham Central 2-0 in Hoschton.
Colin Price and Jack Teague combined to allow just four hits with seven strikeouts. Price started the game and threw 3.2 innings, while Teague finished with 3.1 innings pitched and six strikeouts. At the plate, senior Sam Bradley was the lone Panther with multiple hits, finishing 2 for 3 with one RBI and one run scored. Nick Austin drove in the other Panther run on the night.
Jackson County is set to host Apalachee Friday, weather permitting. The two teams are also set to meet at Apalachee on Monday.
