Baseball Routs Shiloh, 15-0

Baseball Routs Shiloh, 15-0

There was no spring break malaise for the Jackson County baseball team Monday night, as the Panthers (8-14) routed in-region foe Shiloh 15-0 in just three innings. The Panthers racked up 13 hits and held the Generals (5-14) to just four in the shortened, run-rule game.

Five Jackson County batters finished with multiple hits, with eight Panthers scoring a run in the game. Wes Ashcraft was the top-performer at the plate, going 3-f0r-3 with four runs batted in and a run scored. Karson Wheeler, Colin Price, Nick Austin and Sam Bradley each finished with two hits and at least two runs scored. Wheeler and Price each also drove in two runs, along with Mitchell Bryce.

Ollie Tingelhoff finished with the win on the mound, pitching all three innings and allowing just four hits and two walks.

The Panthers and Generals face off in the second game of the season series Wednesday at Panther Park. First Pitch is slated for 5:30 p.m.
