Baseball Dominates Gainesville, 15-1

The Jackson County Panthers baseball team dominated former region foe Gainesville 15-1 Friday night in Gainesville. 

Bryce Garrison collected three hits, including a solo home run to right field in the fifth inning to lead the Panthers' offensive attack that racked up 13 hits against the Red Elephant pitching staff. 

Colin Price drove in three runs going three-for-five on the night, while Carson Stokes finished with a pair of hits in the win. The Panthers saw six batters record a hit on the night, while 12 batters scored at least one run. 

On the hill, Jackson Teague earned the win by striking out five batters and allowing just one hit in four innings of work. 

The Panthers visit Franklin County Wednesday night before hosting a doubleheader against Cedar Shoals on Saturday at Panther Park. The Panthers visit Jefferson (March 4), host North Oconee (March 6) and visit Parkview (March 7) before opening Region 8-AAAAA play against Alcovy on March 12.
